Services
Belconnen Community Service provides a diversity of co-ordinated programs which support and encourage residents of Belconnen to be independent and interdependent contributing members of the Belconnen community.
In 2007 there is a diverse range of Children’s Services, each of which has achieved High Standard National Accreditation. These include long day care, occasional care, family day care, in home care and school age care. The programs provide high quality, affordable care for children from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. We also offer behaviour support to child care services across the ACT and to families on the Northside of Canberra.
The BCS Community Work Program employs approximately thirty staff and up to eighty volunteers. It offers a wide range of services to families and individuals, including migrants, the aged, people with a disability, people in need of short term counselling and support with parenting issues and those experiencing housing problems, isolation or hardship in their lives. We also provide community education programs such as anger management and facilitate neighbourhood groups and community transport.
Uturn Youth Services operates out of the Belconnen Youth Centre and our arts, recreation and mental health programs are co-ordinated from the Belconnen Community Centre.

Complaints Policy
While we believe that our services are of a high quality, we acknowledge that sometimes users of those services may have a complaint about some aspect of them.
At Belconnen Community Service we try to provide you with the best possible service. However, we realise that at times things can go wrong or something about the service provided may concern you.
If this happens, we would like you to raise your concern with the worker who has been working with you. Often things can be cleared up easily at that stage. If you feel uncomfortable about doing that, then you can speak to the manager of the program. You may also have an advocate of your choice to support you if you wish.
The worker you have contacted will look into the matter (and may involve more senior staff if appropriate) and get back to you promptly. If you feel more comfortable with a different worker, that may be possible.
Should we not be able to resolve your complaints to your satisfaction, you may wish to contact the following organisations who can assist you.
